This Pale

Collaboration between sitarist Shujaat Husain Khan and Iranian vocalist Katayoun Goudarzi. Throughout his long career, Shujaat has released over 60 albums. One of the highlights of his career was the album The Rain, recorded with the Indo-Persian ensemble Ghazal. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2004. On their latest work This Pale, the sounds of Shujaat Husain Khan's sitar, Goudarzi's vocals, Nay Shaho Andalibi, and tabla Sharik Mustafa breathed new life into six poems by Rumi, the Persian poet-sufi of the 13th century.
