Montparnasse Musique

Montparnasse Musique — project of Algerian-French producer Najib Ben Bella, a big fan of authentic African sound, and South African DJ Aero Manyelo, adept of modern Johannesburg, his afrohouse, techno, gqom and kwaito. The duo formed after a chance meeting at the Montparnasse station in Paris, when Aero Manyelo was touring with the pan-African collective Batuk. Their eponymous debut EP was recorded with the participation of Congolese groups Kasai Allstars, Konono Nº1, Mbongwana Star and Basokin.
