Ali — a collaboration between Hendrix Sahara, Burema "Vieux" Farka Touré, and the Texas trio Khruangbin. For many years, Vieux had been looking for musicians with whom he could record an album dedicated to his father – the legendary Malian guitarist Ali Farka Touré, who passed away in 2006. After attending Khruangbin's concert in London in 2018, the musician was deeply impressed by the Texans' performance and proposed a joint project. Together with his brothers and sisters, Vieux selected eight of his father's songs, which the newly formed collective then recorded in Burton, Texas over the course of a week.
