Mayb Fratti is a Guatemalan cellist. She currently lives in Mexico, where she collaborates extensively with Mexican improvisers. The pandemic led many musicians to decide to spend quarantine together and they settled in the old La Orduña factory in Veracruz. There, Mayb collaborated with the drone rock band Tajak, Pedro Tirado, and Claire Rosy. It was there that she recorded her second album "Será Que Ahora Podremos Entendernos?" ("Can we understand each other now?"). The polyrhythmic melodies of the cello are at the core of the entire work.
