Solo album by Hamlet Minassian is an artifact of the forgotten culture of dance music from the Middle East. The recording took place in western Iran shortly before the 1979 revolution, after which it was almost outlawed. Even in such turbulent times, Minassian managed to reinterpret traditional Armenian music and successfully blend it with the then-popular disco. In 2019, the album was reissued by the Chicago-based label Numero Group.
