Los D'a Roier
Los D'a Roier
Ventadorn · 1978
The Day of Roier - a French group from Limousin, performing folk music of the Auvergne region, released two albums: the first, which is now before you, in the 70s, and the second in the 80s. The regional languages of Auvergne are Occitan and Bourbonnais dialect of the langue d'oïl. Los D'a Roier performed their songs in Occitan because it is spoken in Limousin. The group included Yan Dau Melhau, who later released many solo albums and worked with the medieval music ensemble Troubadours Art Ensemble, and Serge Marot, whose music for the dance bourrées was included in the folk compilation La Capforcha. Currently, the group apparently occasionally performs concerts with the support of Antoine Marot.
