't Kliekske - a Belgian group that performed ancient traditional Flemish music. They collected countless folk songs, melodies, dances, and instruments. One of the members of the collective, Herman Dewit, was involved in the reconstruction of ancient instruments. In 1995, Herman was awarded a doctorate for his research and performance of folk music. The group also initiated annual folk music courses first in Galmaarden, and then in Pajottenland. This album contains recordings of works from a manuscript discovered by Ghislain Potvlieghe in the Flemish village of Viane.
