Bulawayo Harare

Bulawayo Harare EP consists of four tracks. The first two are dedicated to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second-largest city, and the other two — to the country's capital, Harare.

The record's first side opens with Mysterious Africa, a track bursting with dub and dancehall references. It is performed by the Zimbabwean band Bulawayo Kwela and produced by Danalogue, a member of the British band The Comet Is Coming. Lyrics by Zimbabwean poet Albert Nayati accompany the recording.
The second track is performed by the Kwela style devotee Elliot Phiri, apparently one of the Bulawayo Kwela members.

The Harare side is introduced by David Tapfuma's song, recorded to the accompaniment of mbira. The song is most likely related to the popular Zimbabwean music style chimurenga.
Closing the record is a remix of the Tapfuma's song made by a Cape Town native, Esa, which explains the distinguishable influence of South African kwaito house.
